Meet the Artist | Kanika Blair

Kanika Blair (b. in Chicago, IL) is a multidisciplinary artist who currently resides in Houston TX. As a multidisciplinary artist, Kanika’s practice combines mixed media collage and digital art as her performances. She creates heavenly dreamscapes art that is heavily influenced by spirituality, mythology, astrology, religion, the Renaissance era as well as other eras in History.

She specializes in making art that highlights Africans, African Americans, Asians, Hispanics and people of color to show their divinity despite the obstacles that happen every day. Although Kanika makes art for men and women, her main focus is geared towards women.

Kanika states “We are Goddesses and I want for us to realize our worth physically, mentally, sensually & spiritually. I want to help women embrace their divine femininity. And as I create every piece of art, I’m embracing my femininity & finding myself as well.”

Kanika’s art has been commissioned by clients such as Rick Ross, Jidenna, Blxst & Burna Boy. Her intention with her artistry is to help others in their spiritual journey & their healing process. She depicts different parts of that journey so that it speaks to the masses.

Quite simply, her art is for the soul.
